Date Night ideas in the middle of Covid

I don't know about you, but due to Covid, date night for my husband and I has been super challenging. With a lot of places closed, it's hard to "go out." So I sat down recently and thought up a bunch of ideas for "Date Night," and I decided I would share them with you all.        Pick out your favorite movie, make some popcorn.   Our favorite is the  Amish Popcorn   from Amazon.  Buy a new board or card game.   Or if you are a video gamer, play something together like Call of Duty or Mario Kart is fun.  Skip-Bo is a favorite in our house. Have a cooking or baking night, learn a new recipe together!   Jeremy and I recently learned how to make Corn Chowder , so delicious! We also made some Salt Dough Christmas ornaments that we will be decorating soon.  Go for a walk or a hike. Find trails near you by using the  All Trails website or Mobile app . If it's a nice enough day, take a picnic with you.  Learn a new craft like candle making or soap . Hobby Lobby

Don’t make excuses, go have fun!

Today, as I was packing what it feel to be the ten thousandth box, I started thinking about all the projects and ideas I’ve had, but kept telling myself I’ll make that when I have my desk set up. And I’ll make these recipes when I can concentrate better.   And how silly is that!? I’ve put off doing stuff for no real good reason. With my new house I have decided to throw all that out, after I unpack it all again of course!      I’m going to cook those special recipes with my husband, and I’m going to learn to make a nerdy dress. I’m going to finish my T-shirt quilt, and I’m going to learn to grow a flower garden. No more making up silly excuses! Time seems to fly by so fast, and I need to take advantage of what time I do have. I want to make new and happy memories in my new home.      I am going to try my best to share my crafting and recipe ideas here on my blog.

Memories And Moving

Hello my loyal followers,    Sorry it has been a while since my last post! I am currently in the middle of moving! My husband and I just bought our first home, using Maine's First Time Home Buyer's program, and we are so excited! It has definitely been stressful, hectic, and frustrating. We have been doing a lot of packing, sorting and cleaning, on top of working at our jobs. I know when all this is over, it will definitely be worth it!     I can't wait to start painting and decorating and making the new home ours.       During this whole packing and moving process, I have really been questioning how much stuff I really need! I have so many items that have memories attached, but are they good memories?         Me, being homeschooled, of course I did not have a school year book, so I had to make one. Looking back through that book, thinking about it all, those people I am no longer friends with, the memories attached are fading and I keep wondering if that's a good thin

Audible and my most recent audiobooks

Just like most people, I have a very busy life. So finding the time to read a physical book can be difficult. That’s why I love Audible so much!     They have thousands of audio books to choose from. And once a month I get one free credit that I can use to purchase ANY audiobook, at ANY price, so basically once a month I get a free audio book. Sometimes, they have some really great sales. For instance, about a week ago they had a two for one credit sale. Audible had a list of audio books that were part of that sale to choose from, you were able to purchase two audio books with just one credit.           And if you love reading romance novels, they have an option to add the romance package to your monthly subscription. This means that you have unlimited access to the romance books in that category. No credits needed, and no need to buy them, you can read six or six-hundred. All for one low price!     Also as an Audible member, you get FREE access to a list of books Audible sets aside c

The struggle is real

I've never been one to keep a blog for long, I start off great! Lots of posts, and thoughts and ideas, and then I slowly start to post less and less. Getting writer's block or busy with normal life.    But that's changing! Here's to keeping this blog going for many years to come!!!

Hey, thanks for stopping by! As stated in my blog title, my name is Kaylah. I’m a photographer, no specialization. I just love to photograph whatever I find interesting, and once in a while I will do portrait sessions on the side for family and friends.    I love to read pretty much anything. I’ve read Star Wars books and Little Women, Twilight and Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia will always have a special place in my heart. I own close to 2,000 books.     I enjoy playing video games. Anything from Mario Kart to Animal Crossing, Minecraft and Tomb Raider. My gaming library is just as broad as my reading one.     I own two cats: Link and Zelda they are Maine Coon, also brother and sister from the same litter, a lab/Pitt dog named Raven and a rabbit named Apache.       I love house plants and gardening but I definitely do not have a green thumb, and most of the time my plants die. But I try again, research some more, watch DIY videos, and hopefully one day I’ll be able to keep my
